Thames Water is seeking an Electrical Engineer to ensure that the expansion and development of Thames Water Sewage Treatment Works meet correct scope requirements, asset standards, legislation, and design expectations. What you’ll be doing as an Electrical Engineer
  • Develop multiple projects to meet defined needs with best-value solutions at various Wastewater Treatment Works and pumping stations within the Thames Valley and Home Counties.
  • Understand and mitigate project risks to reduce Programme and Project delivery Costs.
  • Support design sign-off between the Asset Management and Capital Delivery departments as the selected Delivery Stream dictates.
  • Provide Technical Assurance for projects during the Delivery, Commissioning, and handover of Assets.
What you should bring to the role of an Electrical Engineer
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or an Engineering HNC or above. Be working towards or open to working towards charter ship status.
  • Knowledge of developing technical project solutions and briefs, especially those related to electrical scope.
  • Understanding of project delivery in process industries.
  • Understanding of H&S in the Construction industry, particularly CDM.
  • Understanding of electrical processes and equipment, especially pumps and pipework.
Hybrid – Clearwater Court.  The successful applicant will be expected to be in the office once a week, the remainder of their time will be spent between hybrid working and onsite.

36 hours a week, Monday to Friday; this vacancy is open to part-time and full-time applicants.

Having access to a car and a driving licence is essential for this role.

  • Competitive salary from £40,000 to £55,000 per annum.
